Choirs are at the heart of communities — but behind every performance there’s a whole ecosystem of organisers, venues, singers, and audiences working together to make it happen. At Choirfarm, our mission has always been to grow the choir economy through digital innovation.
We’ve now moved our website to a new platform so we can do something we’ve wanted to do for a long time: share our research and insights more openly, more regularly, and with more people.
Why the Change?
Since the pandemic, the choir world has bounced back, and is evolving quickly with growth in the exsiting choirs, and new entrants. Choirs are exploring new ways to recruit members, put on shows, sell tickets, and build sustainable futures for their operations. And some are still struggling, but showing signs of growth.
We want to make sure the knowledge we’re gathering — through our research, indepth interviews, and work on tools like Choirslist and VoxOffice— isn’t kept behind the scenes.
By moving choirfarm.com (which is our business facing website) to a blog-first platform, we can:
- Publish ongoing research (like our InnovateUK funded work on choir-friendly venues).
- Share updates on Choirslist and the new tools we’re building.
- Highlight innovations from both inside and outside of the choir sector.
- Publish guessposts by others who are doing great things in sector to help choirs thrive.
- Invite conversation and collaboration from the whole community.
